ABOUT GRASSROOTS

Grassroots food is a Caribbean-inspired restaurant owned and operated by Chef Jamal Hinds. Grassroots was formed in 2020 with the goal of providing food education and private chef services to the community during the pandemic, followed by a series of successful Caribbean-inspired pop-ups around Portland.

The mission of GrassRoots is to provide Portland diners with a healthy, flavorful culinary experience that highlights fresh, local ingredients and vibrant flavors from the Caribbean and other parts of the world.

GrassRoots is located within the Olive or Twist Martini Bar in Portland's Pearl District. We are also available for private chef services, collaborations, and event/ private catering.
